Tripoli – December 2024 The Libyan capital Tripoli witnessed the launch of the Libya International Forum and Exhibition for Security and Modern Equipment from 1 to 4 December 2024, in the Grand Hall of the Sports City, organised and equipped by Libya International Company and officially sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior and the Libyan Centre for Strategic Studies and National Security, and with the official sponsorship of the Government of National Unity.

👥 High-level official opening The event was opened by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Engineer Abdulhamid Dbeibah, who toured the exhibition halls and viewed the latest security technologies on display by more than 20 local and international companies, including modern surveillance systems, hazard detection devices, solutions for securing critical infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies.

🎤 Official statements and strategic discussions Major General Mahmoud Saeed, Deputy Minister of the Interior for Public Affairs, delivered a speech on behalf of Acting Minister Emad Al-Tarabulsi, who was absent from the event due to a previous injury, emphasising that the forum represents a platform for enhancing cooperation between security institutions and technology companies, and aims to increase the efficiency of security work and develop the services provided to citizens.

Scientific seminars and intellectual discussions The programme included a series of specialised scientific seminars covering a range of topics, most notably:

  • Cyber security and cybercrime
  • Combating terrorism and organised crime
  • Illegal immigration and human rights
  • Applications of artificial intelligence in national security

🌐 International cooperation and diverse expertise International experts from countries such as India, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Britain, and Austria participated in the forum, giving the event a distinctive international character and contributing to the exchange of expertise and the strengthening of regional security cooperation.
